Here, we’ve loosely gathered the Scripture you will also encounter daily at Mass. The translation here is the New Revised Standard Version, which differs from the Lectionary. Sometimes, we have expanded the readings to offer more context. For the days of the O Antiphons, we have traced their biblical roots. And when there are optional Memorial Mass readings, we’ve always opted for those, so that we can share with you some of the stories of beautiful saints of the season.

 So, settle into the chair (twinkle lights optional) and enter into the beautiful practice of lectio divina with us. In the next few pages, you’ll find an explanation of this ancient practice of reading and praying the Scriptures. And after each day’s Scripture, you’ll find a page for you to journal. We’ve also shared our thoughts and our prayers as we’ve read the same verses.
