Summer of Psalms: Songs of the Heart

IMG_4619.JPG

Welcome to the first day of our Summer of Psalms. The entire Summer of Psalms reading plan can be found here, along with some tips and tricks for this study. This week, we'll focus on Songs of the Heart, carefully reading one psalm every weekday. We encourage you to journal in your bible or to download our lectio page and make yourself a notebook or to begin a writing in a beautiful Tolle Lege notebook.

Today, we'll begin to memorize Psalm 139:1-6.

O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
    you discern my thoughts from far away.
You search out my path and my lying down,
    and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
    O Lord, you know it completely.
You hem me in, behind and before,
    and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
    it is so high that I cannot attain it.
— Psalm 139:1-6

We have beautiful printable for you to download and frame to help with your memory work.
