-We have more to say about Holy Scripture than just what we can print in a book a few times/year.

But can we let you in on a little secret? We’re not salespeople. We’re not business women. We’re not marketing wizards. We’re just women. Women of God who want to spread the love of Christ and His Church through our small-but-mighty ministry. 

Our group is so awesome that we want to take a break from ADVERTISING the membership and focus on GROWING EVEN CLOSER TO GOD with our current members. 

Before we do that though, we want to give everyone one last chance to join.

Our membership drive begins TODAY and closes NOVEMBER 11. It will remain closed until after Easter.

We want you all to have the chance to be a vital part of our work here at Take Up & Read. Members are the pioneers of each new book. Through their prayers and encouragement, they give us spiritual nourishment, and through their financial support, they provide us with the practical means to complete new print books. They are an integral part of the Take Up & Read ministry. Members always receive our print books (at least three every year, including our beautiful new Advent +Christmas Journal) for only the cost of shipping.

We create beautiful, intentionally themed and seasonal Scripture studies, tools, and resources for all women to keep God’s wisdom close to their hearts in their everyday lives. We have gathered here to share with you our enthusiasm for God’s Word and to be encouraged by your insights as you read. We want to hear your hearts, share your burdens, celebrate your joys, and pray the Scripture with you.

Grace Notes | In your inbox at the beginning of each week 

Once a week, members will receive our “Grace Notes,” a scripture study and reflection to help you center your heart and find Jesus’s presence throughout the liturgical year. Written by Elizabeth Foss, each essay explores specific biblical themes and reflects on how to apply the grace of these truths to our everyday lives. All original and new content, the essays are focused on promoting biblical literacy and connection to scripture in women’s hearts in all seasons of life.

The weekly scripture study includes:

• Intentionally chosen scripture chapters and verses (enough to ponder for the entire week)

• A 500+ word reflection on the scripture cited and its relevance in a woman’s life today

• Encouraging prompts to help you carry your daily lectio divina into the actio phase.

The Digital magazine Heart & Home | in your inbox in the middle of the month

The digital magazine connects members with the core team and contributors at Take Up & Read, providing an insight into the lives of the women behind-the-scenes. Reflective, informative, and full of curated resources, the e-magazine is more than a newsletter. It’s a comprehensive guide to finding the graces in liturgical living and the holiness of intentional moments during every season of the Church year.

Take Up & Read Book Club

Wish you had a kindred spirit with which to share the books you love? Read and discuss books with the membership community. We’ll always have one book going, with weekly conversations for members. All discussions will be archived. You can revisit your favorites and find your next great read.
